I have an original M1 MBA which only supports a single external monitor.
I understand that with DisplayLink there is a workaround to support dual monitors, but am struggling to confirm what hardware I need.

I have a Caldigit TS3+ which I think doesn't officially support DisplayLink.

So - can I make the TS3+ work, or do I need something else, and if so what / does it replace the TS3+ or work alongside it...?

Any help / advice gratefully received.

That’s great - does it happen to be the same as this? 1685229937132.png

And one more question- one of my external displays is a studio display - which only connects over thunderbolt and not HDMI - do I connect that directly to the MBA and then use the adapter to connect monitor 2 via one of the HDMI ports?

I don’t trust Hyper products anymore, especially after they released this product and failed to disclose the safety hazards with it.

It was only after countless complaints and a The Verge article detailing the safety issues with it that Hyper decided to finally recall the product. After that, I decided not to trust the company anymore.

As such, I would urge you to buy the OWC product instead - a more reliable brand and more trustworthy too.

Thank you - that’s good to know!!
