Dual Screen problems

Hi guys,

Is there a way for me to fullscreen one display (My TV) and use my mac for doing other tasks while the TV stays in full screen? Whenever I fullscreen the display on my TV and use my mac, the full screen shrinks back to normal size.

No, I have extended the desktop.
