Hello I'm using Win XP on my2.2GHz MBP with an external screen (Eizo W2201).

When i set the native resolution 1680x1050 the screen scrolls and the res looks crap.

I've tried updating both the Eizo drivers and the nVidia drivers (177.38 atm) and the screen still looks crap and scrolls. I've tried disabling screen scaling in the nvidia control panel aswell.

If i se my Viewsonic VP171s (17 inch) it looks just fine..

Nothing further to do if you have the latest nVidia drivers. If your external looks bad at its native resolution it's because the nVidia driver is causing it. You can try changing to an older nVidia driver and see what happens. The nVidia web site should still have a list of older drivers.

nVidia has pretty much given up on supporting XP. Everything new they're doing is for Vista which uses a different driver model. I know that sucks but not much can be done about it.

Regards.
