I wanna hook up a second Apple studio Display 17 inch ADC CRT, (i already have one Studio display flat screen)

I have a Powermac G5.

I was told I need to get an connector ADC to DVI, and a Power chord adapter.

I have no problem getting the adapter as it's cheap, but that stupid power adapter is expensive.

Is it true that I need that power adapter?

If so, then this cheap studio display will go up in price by over $150 when I add up the connector and the adapter...

The item in the first link you don't need. That is for connecting a DVI display to an ADC port. You need to connect an ADC display to a DVI port. Therefore, you only need the one in the second link.

Sorry it isn't the other way around.

I'm just going to stick with my current set up then....

There are a few DVI-to-ADC adapters on ebay in the 40-60 dollar (US) range.
