Dual sim question?

I have Verizon. Signal for all carriers in the backwoods country sucks. T-Mobile has a newish tower. I don’t know why my Verizon phone won’t roam off of that tower.

Could I get a prepaid T-Mobile Sim to use for data?

You might be able to use a T-Mobile eSIM. I've never used one myself. Seems to require a separate phone number and a separate plan from T-Mobile.
