I have two 27" Studio Display monitors (latest model) and want to share them between a MacBook Pro M4 Max and a Mac Mini M2 Pro.
The aim is to be able to connect both displays to the Mac Mini and then come along and plug into some switch device with my MacBook Pro and be able to manually switch access from the Mac Mini to my MBP. So at any time I like if both MBP and Mac Mini are plugged in to the switch I can flick between them. i/.e MBP with two screens. Then flick a switch and it's Mac Mini and two screens.
I'm assuming the switch would be a matter of pressing a switch on a switch device or plugging in a cable between the MBP and the device.although if it was possible with software that would be awesome.
