Dual Veloci & Maya

Hello,

i just read this article:

Basically i am looking for a new HD to save my maya projects and work files on, needs to be fast, in the article they mention the Dual Veloci via raid,
do they use apples built in raid, or a card? Any idea?

Also, for Maya would i see more speed with my project files saved on the Faster drive, or run my OS from that drives?
