I'm getting weird graphical glitches (see attached screenshots). A few weeks ago I took my MBP to apple so they could replace the screen (still waiting for it to arrive, slackers). Anyway, this new thing is driving my nuts, the system is thirteen months old, under applecare. Could this be 8600GT Shenanigans?

I reckon replacing the screen won't do any good as it's probably a GPU issue.

Do you have AppleCare?
If so, you can definitely get this fixed.

If you don't and the warranty is over ... you can still give it a shot.

Definitely GPU failure. Don't think them screen shots resemble others which are due to the 8600 itself I think yours is a separate issue. Need to go to a Genius Bar or call AppleCare by telephone.

Lookz 2 me lyke the memory is clocked too high and is overheating-- at least on the top two, as I've mentioned in the other thread you posted this in.

As for the other two, I haven't the faintest idea what's causing it, other than yeah, your GPU is faulty. This is getting ridiculous... I wouldn't be surprised if nVidia goes under.
