Duet cannot open items with touch

Using my ipad3 as a screen on my macbook air works great and have finder parked on the ipad to view files.

I can touch on a folder to highlight it.
If I double tap I expect it to open said folder, nothing happens.

Have I missed a setting?

I have to use the touchpad on the air to open the folder.
