Does anyone still care about Duke Nukem ? Seriously ...

Sometimes a franchise is best left to nostalgia - Duke Nukem Forever is testament to that.

Sometimes I think I'm the only person who really enjoyed DNF! Loved the pacing and big battles, the basic combat, the graphics were a bit silly though. I think it was just refreshing after too much Gears of War, Halo... games that take themselves too seriously.

I hope this next one follows the examples set by the recent Rise of the Triad and Shadow Warrior remakes/sequels. I'd love to play a map-based game again with keys, silly humour and over the top weapons. Hope this will be the one.

The constant sexual references and innuendos, especially with the teenie girls at the beginning, I found unnecessary, offensive, and a waste of time. It seemed like there was a constant waiting around for dialog as well. Atari 2600 Asteroids has more action...

Well, the old saying, "One man's junk...."

Hoping the new version has none of the qualities put in DNF...

I've rarely seen a game drop in price as fast as DNF. Even the console retail versions can be had for around five bucks these days! :D
