We see Macs in commercials constantly. Has anyone else seen the "finally fast" pc commercials?

They show Macs crashing throughout the whole thing. (Even getting the blue-screen-of-death.) Then while stating there stuff works with all computers they have fine print explains pc only, even while the kid is using his imac.

Just thought it was funny or dumb or both, anyone else seen this or some other funny mac placement commercial?

I love/hate that commercial because of the fake blue screen of death.

It may be an intel imac. I don't recall if there is an isight camera on it.

It is definitely a G4 ibook though.

I actually like the commercial. It shows that ad firms realize that people aspire to own an apple as a luxury product, and by using them in the commercial, they can bond with the buyer most easily.

Too bad their budget wouldnt allow for aluminum macbooks and imacs

Lol that was one of the worst commercials I have ever seen.

"This game should be a lot lot faster, MOM THIS INTERNET CONNECTION IS SLOW!" - While playing a single player game:rolleyes:

I think we have just found out where dropouts from marketing/advertising programs go

Obviously windows is going to be extremely slow on a G4 ibook, no amount of "finalyfast.com" will fix that.

The commercial isn't new, it's been around for three or four years. (I think even before Intel Macs were introduced.)

But yeah, people do identify with Macs as being high end, for some reason. Good for advertisers.

Is it just me or does part of that commercial show the Firefox 'unable to connect' screen in an Internet Explorer 6 window?

I wouldn't think Windows would even install let alone run on an iBook as it had a PPC processor, the option to use Windows on a Mac didn't become reality until the switch to Intel IIRC.

Useless commercial.

Ever heard of Virtual PC? Runs on PPC Macs but very slow.

Gotta love the music. It makes me feel like I'm at some cheesy dance club drinking shots out of test tubes...

I noticed that also.
