Hey all. Looking for an external HD to use for backups w/ Time Machine, and seperate data storage as well. I've been a windows/dell user for years so apologies if this is dumb, but would I be able to use this external HD without any issues/ or have any of you all purchased this and have feedback? I'm sorry for the jackass of a question, and feel free to bash the hell out of me.....;)

I'm to assume OWC never steered a Mac user wrong. Plus its a decent price.

It is listed as Time Machine ready
You will have no issues with this drive as far as compatibility, etc.

Disclaimer: all HDDs are subject to issues :)

Yes, you can use that external HDD.

You need to format it though with Mac OS Extended (HFS+) via Disk Utility to get full compatibility with Mac OS X.

Format: Pre-formatted for Mac OSX

That is written on the page you linked to, so no formatting is involved, as MacDawg pointed out.

You all are great, thanks for quick replies! How nice of you both! Thanks! Question is answered, can this be locked/deleted this thread? thanks!
