So my wife decided to change her email address.

So I updated my contacts and what not, but for some reason, the iPhone seems to be remembering her old email address when I compose a message.

The new one comes up as well, but it is kind of annoying having her old ones that do not work in there.

Is there a way to make the iPhone stop remembering email addresses?

Thanks in advance...

It should eventually learn the new one and push the old one down in the list.

Well, the new one is already there because it is in her contact info.

So there is no way to remove the old ones that are on in my contacts?

Grrr........

You are wanting to delete an old email address from a contact?

Just go to the contact and hit edit and then remove the old email.

As far as auto-suggest. It is engrained unless you reset your settings.

No, her contact entry on Google and my iPhone both have 2 email addresses. Work and Home.

But when I compose an email, and type in her name, it brings up 3 different versions of her work email with different cases, and two home email addresses, the new one and the old one.

So it is storing and pulling the email addresses from somewhere outside of my contacts.

I even deleted her contact entry from Google and the iPhone, and when I compose, it still pulls up all the email addresses.

Like I said before, that is the iPhone input memory. You would have to reset the keyboard dictionary. If that doesn't work then you will need to reset all settings.

Settings>General>Reset>

Thanks for all the help.

I tried the keyboard dictionary one and that didn't do it.

I am not going to do the master reset as I am not sure what exactly I will lose.

I will just live with it.

Thanks again!

Rat-boy.. are the email address the exact same... ie

contact 1
email
Email
eMail
emaiL

Or are they all
Email
Email
Email
Email

I would double check the email address from contact list and from the list on your new email account.

It's possible to delete old entries in Mail on a Mac, but not on an iPhone. :(
