Dumb itunes/iPhone question

Here's something that I've wonder about, since buying my iPhone.

Is there any advantage to buying itunes songs on my Mac or the iPhone? For some reason I think I'm better off waiting till I get home and buy them then instead of using my iPhone to purchase them directly. Especially since I cannot create/edit playlists on my iPhone.

Is the bit rates the same, i.e., the quality identical regardless of how I buy them.

Im just the same mate would much rather download them on my MBP. The quality is just the same no matter where u buy it from im just fussy lol

You guys know you can transfer songs purchased on your iPhone to iTunes right? That's what I do if I just can't wait to hear something.
