I have what is probably a very dumb jailbreak question. I've decided to tinker with jailbreaking and have done so to my first-gen phone. I've figured out how to use Cydia to install apps and it's very slick.

My question is this; now that I've jailbroken my iPhone it no longer appears in iTunes. So is there no way to keep a jailbroken iPhone synced & backed up or am I just doing something wrong?

I followed the jailbreak instructions step-by-step using QuickPWN on a mac. Like I said, everything seems fine except how to connect the phone to iTunes to keep it synced, add music, etc.

Thanks!

Nevermind - I'm an idiot!

Awww - I *am* an idiot.

It turns out Parallels was grabbing the phone as a USB device and OS X was never even getting a shot at it.

Once I paused my VM, it worked fine with iTunes.
