Hi there,

Due to my work (I am a psychiatrist) I hardly answer any calls when I'm at my office, except for patients whom I expect them to call me in.

Every time I finish any session and take a look at my phone, I see that I have missed some calls as the phone icon has a red circle at the top corner.

My question, as dummy as I am, is: is there a way to actually see the number of missed calls, like when you see the number of apps that are ready to be updated or the new messages in your e-mail account, or is it a bug?

Thank you kindly, and I apologize in advance if I posted a silly question.

All the best,

^MPY.

Maybe because they also have voicemail to count in and so they just made it a dot to notify that one or the other needs attention. Its not a bug, Apple showed it in their screenshots and stuff

You should see the actual number of missed calls, but perhaps the voicemail dot without the number takes priority over that. You can also swipe down from the top to bring down the notification center and quickly see what missed calls and voicemails you actually have.
