I have a really dumb question about the iPad Mini, does the iPad Mini have GPS?

Thanks! :)

Hugh

All iPads that are cellular have GPS, the wifi model does not.

Yep, only the cellular and boy is it accurate.

I can walk out onto my driveway and there are three huge planters about 20 feet apart. I can go to maps and look at my house with the satellite layer and tell which planter I am standing in front of.

This, for me, was good enough reason to get the cellular version. But it also comes in handy out in the field.

Thanks, I have the WiFi version and didn't think it had GPS. Like I said it was really a dumb question. :/

Hugh

Nah, its not a dumb question.

I wondered the same thing on my first iPad :)

The wifi version doesn't have GPS, but if you are near wifi hotspots, it may be able to approximate your location. This works fairly well in big cities like New York.
