Duplicate albums!

i have had this issue for years with the photo app on iPhone.

If I sync an album it will then sometime create duplicates with separate images split into them. For example the main Family album has 1000 or so pictures in it. Then it'll show two more family albums with 400 in one and another with 600.

What the heck is that about and has someone else had an issue with this?

I had this issue on my old phone. I ended up removing all of the photos from my phone via iTunes, then selected the albums I wanted to re-add to my phone in iTunes. I synced my phone and everything went back to normal.
