Hi, multiple macs and lots of duplication between them. I know there are
lots of duplicate file finder and synchronization apps. Wonder if you can
suggest from your experience, what the best is for the following task:

If I off-load all the folders/files to be compared onto an external HD....
and the goal is to wind up with a single file for any instance where there
are one or more identical files.

Is there an application capable of, automatically merging
and eliminating any duplicates and saving only ONE of each duplicate
set without me having to scroll through a list of Thousands of files,
and individually selecting and deleting all but the single file to be saved?

I realize there are apps that will show me a listing of the dupes and where they are.
I'm going for an end result of having only "one" of everything.

Thanks for your help,

Hey

Looking forward to hearing some good responses!!

Same here, Luther...too bad it's been awhile since I originally posted this - I guess I'm missing something obvious.... or this is not a popular topic or forum(?) O Well... Still appreciate any suggestions on it - pretty much in
the same boat as when I asked about it...

Best Regards,

Mike
