Wondering if anyone else is encountering this, and if so, what to do about it? Here is the situation: two computers, both running fully patched Mojave 10.14.6 (one is 2017 MacBook Air, one is Mac Pro 5,1). I've started to keep a few commonly used files in iCloud Drive so that they are available on both machines. What I notice is this: say I transfer a file called Emails.xls to the iCloud Drive folder using Finder. Then I might open it on the other machine by double-clicking it, edit it, save it. Some time later I will notice that now there are two similar files in iCloud Drive: Emails.xls, and Emails 1.xls. Am I being too hasty in closing the file and shutting down the laptop or something? This has happened with almost every file of the handful I have put in iCloud Drive.

Thanks for your input.
