Duplicate photos on watchOS 2.0

I've just finished upgrading my Apple Watch to watchOS 2.0 and I'm getting duplicate pictures from some of my photos. If I choose to sync say 500 pictures I end up with tons and tons of duplicates. I've made sure that I don't have duplicates on the album I'm synching.

Is there a way to turn off photo sync completely so I can start again?
