No matter how careful I am, duplicate photos keep magically appearing in my iphoto. I think I am going to scream!!

The first time this happened I cherry picked all my photos searching for duplicates and got rid of them all. Now they just seems to be randomly duplicating themselves.

What can I do about this problem? I think I am going to scream!!

I'm bypassing the obvious joke here.... (you just duplicated your last post)

Trying to avoid the obvious but is there possibly a key sticking on your keyboard?

Other than that, are you copying the pictures from a camera and renaming them in the process, or are these pictures on your pc that you're doing nothing with, they just seem to be duplicating?

The majority of the duplicates seem to be cropping up with no explanation why. Do you know of a software program, that deals with duplicates?

I use iPhoto, but do you think that Aperture would be any better at dealing with the duplicate problem?

PS: It's funny that you noticed my post duplicates above. I did not even think of it until you pointed that out. Yes, funny. :D
