hey all,

I have software related questions since I'm a newbie and I don't want to have duplicate files strewn all across my Mac. I downloaded Mac OS XP from Max Themes and the dmg and mounted drive showed up on my desktop. Rather than have them left on my desktop, I found where Shapeshifter stored my other themes, copied the contents of the mounted drive and put them in a new folder labeled Mac OS XP in the themes folder. When I went into Shapeshifter, though, I ended up with two radio buttons for Mac OS XP. I finally managed to change that by getting rid of the orginal .dmg file altogether, so I'll have to re-download that. My question is, how does one add themes to their themes folder after downloading the dmg w/o getting duplicates in their theme list?

My second question involves SideTrack, which is a System Preference program that I downloaded from versiontracker. It allows the the track pad to do some extra things like mapping the scroll function the sides of it. The problem is, this function disappears everytime I restart until I go into my Sys Prefs pane and open SideTrack again. I don't even have to change anything, everything is the same. It just doesn't work until I open the Prefs window for it and then close it. Can anyone tell me how to get around this? Thanks.

sps
