Duplicates when transferring images or importing music.

Has anyone else encountered this problem with the new Macbooks? Mine seems to be making multiple copies of the same file when importing from either my camera or (just tried importing a cd) and the same thing happened.

this is a longshot, but, are you using iTunes or iPhoto? By enabling the right options in the preferences, I believe either program may automatically import the files on a CD or camera when it is inserted/attached. importing manually afterwards may result in duplicate files.
