Is there a way to duplicate my account? I want to make a copy of my current account in OS X and then make the copy a non-admin account just incase of virus threats. I would like ALL my settings to be transferred over, including my Dock and keychain. How should I go about doing this?

--Thanks

I'm not sure how to do it, but I have experimented with this with no success. I can tell you that creating a new account and copying the entire current user's folder to the new user's folder does not work.

Yeah I've tired that and I hosed my PowerBook.... twice :(

Just curious, but why not create a new admin account, make yours non-admin, and be done with it?

In my case, I was setting up accounts for each of my parents and my sister. While I wanted them to be able to change things to their personal likings, I wanted to start with certain things in the dock and certain preferences and stuff. I had change each account individually.

I know how much of a pain that is, I've had to rebuild this laptop many times (mostly because of stupid things I've done with it and once for a clean install of Tiger).
You may want to look in to making a complete backup. It may suit your needs much more than just backing up the user folder.
