Ok I am loading away on my new Touch. Seems like a lot of artists have the same song on many albums.

Do you just eat the disk space to keep albumns in tact or is there a tagging trick that makes them virtually attached?

I'd rather eat the space than break up my albums but some of these groups like the Beatles and Dylan have the same song on 5 albums.

Any thoughts?

I haven't tried it but I would guess that a symbolic link via the command line would do the trick. I just let it eat up disk space. I probably waste about 100MB on duplicates so it's not work the effort for me.

Thanks, I'm catching on.

A friend handed me 86 GIG of MP3's Monday . All catagorized in 6000 named artist folders. It's like opening a present every time I open a folder. Some are loaded and some have one song. I am up to the F's and already added 1000 songs to my IPOD.

The 86 GIG totals 24,000 songs. Very interesting collection
