I find that that Apple Lightning cables are ok for normal use (at home or in the car). I have a portable battery that I carry with me so I can charge my phone while it's in my pocket. The cables don't like being bent back and forth constantly. It covering usually splits where the plug is on the phone side.

Anyone know of a cable that is more durable? My daughter suggested wrapping the cable in tape. That might end up being a good idea.

I have been using the Amazon Basics cables and they seem more rugged.
