I often make calls on my mac just as mentioned here:

My question is: Is it possible to move the phone widget? If so, how?

I am not able to move it. It blocks a section of the screen and this means I end up needing to resize or move the windows of various apps if I need to click something that is obstructed by the phone widget. For example, if I running a full-size Chrome window, I'm not able to access tabs that are obscured by the widget.

Use "Mission Control" (F3). Place Chrome in one space, and make your calls in another. When the call connects, switch back to the Chrome space.

See this Apple Article to learn how to use Mission Control:

I didn't know about mission control and multiple spaces so that was helpful.

However it did not help me for this issue because the phone widget always shows in the active space. It doesn't matter which space the call was made in.

I can understand how annoying that is on a MBA screen. Not noticeable on a larger screen like an iMac 27". Sorry, I don't know of another way to avoid the screen from being blocked.

From what I have read the window was movable prior to High Sierra and was changed starting in High Sierra and is no longer movable. I placed a call this morning from macOS Catalina and the window could not be resized or moved from the right hand corner of the screen.

Best to send feedback on this to Apple. I did this this morning.

Thanks. I just submitted it too -- basically a cut and paste of the original post.
