My Polar watch shows my heart rate constantly when I exercise. Is the same with the AW?

When you start the exercise app it does, though it is a bit strange as you have to flip over to the heart rate metric and wait for it to update...then it stays on constantly (Even though it is still constantly recording, for some reason it has a delay in displaying it.)

Could you further explain? I don't understand clearly how it works.

Just finished my first work out with my AW sport. iNt he workout section, when you start you are able to move between 4 or 5 screens I just set mine to the HRM screen and whenever I turned my wrist it would show me the HR. Also records it throughout the workout and provides a summary at the end with average HR Hope that helps

I am 68 years old. I am in good shape but obviously my limits are lower than just about everybody here.

Average heart rate is not a priority for me. I just want to be able to monitor my heart rate so that I do not exceed 80% of my maximum heart rate.
