I use to keep all my electronic devices covered when they are not used.
I know that dust can kill them! Even in tidy and clean rooms!
I keep my machines for years, so preventing dust from sitting out and inside the machines, gives them a better longevity.

So, here it is a cover that I purchased for my laser printer, it is nice in overall appearance and it protects my color laser printer from dust.

And here it is the cover I had to make with my own hands, for my expensive macbook pro!

Believe me, I searched over and over again, but I did not found any cover-commercial product, like the one for the printer.
I already have 'skin' for mbp, I know about the 'plastic external cases', I know about 'sleeves', but as you understand, I am referring to something else here.
I want a cover that can surround all around the mbp when it is not used. As it is on my desk, with cables attached and so on. Just put it on.
Is there anything like this, on the market?
Or should I stick to the one that I made by myself?

Just throw a micro fibre cloth over it or buy a sleeve as seems the obvious answer. TBH I dont worry about such matters and one of my stock MBP's has been running naked for closing on 12 years being abused from the sub Artic to the equator only time it's shutdown is if we move house.

TBH your overthinking, industrial machines run for decades in the worst of conditions. They generally follow the bathtub theory where failure occurs prematurely or at extreme age. No dust covers, no filters as nobody remotely cares as long as they perform and they tend to do so...
