There's a visible piece of dust or something on the black part around the lens and I'm afraid it'll fall into the lens. Can I bring it to apple to get the phone replaced?

Happened twice with two separate 5's

Go ahead to the genius bar they will replace the phone on the spot.

Oh dear, I thought they would have addressed this issue now.

I had to get my 5 replaced in August due to various dust particles sitting on the Crystal lens.

Thanks. Made a genius appt for later today. Hope I get a new one. :)

Even if I bought the iPhone at a different store?

The warranty is through Apple and follows the serial number. The only time you'd take it to a different store is if the original one year warranty expired but you had a protection plan / warranty through the original store.

And I agree, they'll likely just replace it. I had several small black spots in the camera on my 5 a couple months ago, they replaced it with no questions asked.

I had a black particle floating around on the warm flash, and it moves from place to place (sometimes it is not visible). I plan on taking it to an Apple Store tomorrow to have it replaced. In addition to backlight bleeding and an uneven tint on the screen...

Went to apple yesterday, first person looked at it and said he did didn't really see anything, genius came over saw he didn't see anything and asked the first guy if he did and he said yes he did, so genius exchanged it. Woo!
