I don't know how, but a lot of dust has accumulated under my ipod touch 2g screen and a whole lot more on top of the screen and after i clean it off it goes into the side from the screen and metal. When i clean it a few minutes later there willl be more dust on the screen. The particles are noticeable and I don't like them there. What can I do about this? Will apple replace the iPod even though I don't have the warranty?

EDIT: I went to the apple store today because I had to go anyways for shopping and they told me they can't do anything about it......

Yes, you do have the warranty.
All iPods and other Apple products come with a six month warranty, it may be a year.
Take it into the Apple Store and so what they will/can do.
They may be able to open it up there, and just blow the dust away.
Make sure you back up your iPod before you go in case they do replace it.

The warranty on all Apple computers and iPods is one year (an extra three if you also purchase AppleCare).

I had dust on the screen getting through a light leak on the right hand side of the device, I contacted Apple and they said they'd give me a new one if I sent it in...sent it, got the same iPod back saying the problem wasn't bad enough.

There was a manufacturing flaw that let the dust in, I damn well think that's bad enough!

Wow, that sucks.
If you get the opportunity, try going to a different Apple Store.

i would but the nearest one other then that is way 2 far and i might have to wait a long time for my parents to take me...

Try ringing up Apple themselves and try actually sending it to one of their service centres.
