My mid 2009 MacBook pro has a big piece of dust at the bottom of the screen, I noticed it after 6 months of having my mac at the top of the screen didn't really have time to go to apple store to have it sorted and wasn't that bothered really at the time but now almost 2 years on i'm doing a lot more photoshop stuff and it can be really distracting plus i've noticed more dust collecting at the top. So I went to apple store to see if I could have it cleaned out of warranty of course, but the best they could do was a complete replacement for £270, the reason the genius gave for the replacement was that it was a sealed unit and I thought to myself driving home shouldn't that mean dust shouldnt get in it. So has anyone else managed to get theirs cleaned by apple or know if dust should even be able to get in? And would I have a case using uk statutory rights to get it sorted or am I just kidding myself. Thanks
