DV-5000 vs. Imovie

Hey guys Im new here. But! I´ve got a problem.. I brought An Traveller DV-5000 video camera from ALDI... it works fine with the software Perian.. but I can´t get it to work with Imovie? How can I get movies i´ve recorded into Imovie.... Thanx
