.dv to .mpg

Hey

I have a video clip that ends in .dv that i am trying to upload to google video. how do i change the format so that it ends to that it can play in quicktime or at least be uploaded to the "net".

I really want to upload this for friends.

you can get it to .mov by putting it in imovie

Older versions of iMovie had an easy MPEG-1 and VCD export option. Lamely, apple got rid of this in 2005.

Compressor allows you to export MPEG-1 (.mpg)

You can also export to a variety of .avi options with XVID and DIVX plugins for QT pro.
