DVD backing up / burning - how to do - PROGRAMS

hi, i need a program that will decrypt my DVD's, i have some old ones that i want to backup.

I have DVDbackup1- but thats not working so i was wondering if someone could point me to a better program or different one.

my currrent proceeddure is remove region and encoding through DVD BACKUP 1, then use DVDoneX to compress the DVD to fit a 4.7GB disk, then use toast..

IS there an easier way? any different programs...
