DVD Backup Problem

I have been trying for several weeks to make a backup copy of Party Monster but have been very unsuccsessful. this is the movie we watch the most and are constantly bringing it over to friends to watch it so it is under tremendous wear and tear. no program will allow me to open the disc and copy the files fully. any suggestions from anyone out there?

I have gotten it to go to about 80% and then fail to continue on

What version of MTR do you have and have you tried Movie only or a full backup? When it stops what is the error or reason listed?

I am using version 2.6.6
I believe I tried both but I am not sure
usually it has an error because of the protection: CSS
