of course...a DVD player IS hardware (not software), but in any case, I'd agree with liketom. An external Lacie is a good choice for just about any Mac you've got, since you get to keep it when you trade up!

I agree with both and if it's your first Mac then LaCie is a good choice since Toast 7 comes with it. Not a bad price when you split it all up and you can upgrade the drive at a later date if it burns out or something better comes along :)
