iPod DVD burning error

I'm trying to burn a data DVD of about 2.2 GB worth of tunes. iTunes checks the playlist but then spits out the DVD with an error before burning. What the heck? My DVD is a imation DVD+R. What can I do to fix this?

are u burning in iTunes? because u can't burn it into a DVD in iTunes. iTunes burns them as .wav files so u can play it in a CD player. Sounds to me like you want to back up as a data disk.

yes, if you go to Preferences to the Advanced pane under the Burning tab you can change it to a Data CD or DVD and back up stuff from within iTunes. It's not working, at least for a DVD. Anyone have an idea what's up? ... similar experiences? ... anything at all?
