I had to make a movie as a final project for school which I did in iMovie but now I need to burn it onto an actual DVD disc. I have the most basic bottom-level Macbook and when I go into iDVD it says I don't have what is necessary to burn a DVD.

Is there any way to do it at all with my Macbook?

I have a friend with a MB Pro that can burn DVDs but how could I get my movie/project onto his computer for him to burn it for me?

Thanks!

What version of iMovie/iDVD do you have? If it is iDVD 6 or iDVD 7, or iDVD 09 for that matter, you can Save/Burn as Disk Image from the file menu. The resulting file can be put on a flash drive or external hard drive of sufficient size, copied onto a friend's Mac, and burned with Disk Utility.
