DVD burning problem in Tiger?

Anyone else facing DVD burning problems in tiger (10.4.1)? burned off a bunch of things in 10.3.9, upgraded, software update to 10.4.1. now can't burn a dvd... disk util says cannot calibrate laser for this type of media, finder just barfs...

on a 1.25 albook.

reseting pram fixed it...

command-option-p-r while powering on...

fixed both in dvd buring in finder and Disk utility.
