Okay, so my MacBook Pro is having troubles burning DVDs. For starters, I tried burning a DVD using iDVD and it gave me an error saying the DVD could not be burned because it isn't recognizing a disc in the drive. So I then tried using DVD Studio Pro using a different disc and a different brand and I got the same kind of error. So then I took two different branded, blank DVDs and just put them into my drive to see if my computer would recognize them, and it didn't. The weird thing is that I have used both these brands of DVDs in the past and have never had a problem. Blank CDs seem to work fine, as do movies that I watch on my MacBook so I don't know what's going on.

Info:
MacBook Pro Intel Core 2 Duo (with a superdrive, obviously)
I'm currently running OS X 10.5.6
Brands of DVDs that I'm using: TDK and Maxell

Is this maybe just a problem with the particular dvds? It seems kind of odd if it is...
Can anyone maybe recommend some good DVDs that they use so I can try them?
