When I making an image of a dvd using idvd, it creates a 4gb file. I'm using best performance, and an copying a minidv tape to dvd.
When I use the same minidv file, which i've captured using imovie, and import it into dvd studio pro...then after i choose build, it creates the dvd onto my hard drive, but it's only a total of 2.4 gb. i'm guessing that i'm losing some quality there...so is there any way to correct this?
I already went to the encoding setting and change the bit rate to 5mbp and the max to 7.
also...what is the best way to preserve quality? i import from minidv to imovie which captures it in clips (i don't think fce can do it). then open the file in fce and add chapter markers to it. but now, shoudl i export it as a quicktime or should i use compressor to do it? compressor takes 11hr...quicktime takes 45min. :S
after that, i import the file into dvdsp.
