I have been using Toast to burn DVDs. I try to fit 3-5 episodes on each DVD disk. They are avi files at about 350mb each.

My problem is it takes about the same time to watch each episode as it takes to burn them. 3 1 hours espisodes take 3 hours to burn.

Is there any faster programs out there

Your issue might not be a software related constraint, maybe the dvd burner is just slow. If you are using the mac notebook superdrive, to me, those drives are slow. I prefer an external one, much faster imo.

Two points - which model Mac are you using? The superdrive speeds can vary a bit.

Also, all burning software I know of gives an option to burn at a maximum speed. If this was set to 1x, that could explain why it's taking so long.

early 2008 mbp. I burned mainly data dvds and I have found my external sony burner burns faster than the superdrive using Toast.
