I Have been trying to burn a dvd of my sisters last dance recital onto dvd from an old one, I have tried a few diffrent aproaches to do this but all of them are unable to be played on my dvd player.

I have tried ripping with handbrake and dragging the file onto a blank disc
ripping with handbrake and burning with YuBurner
and ripping with MacTheRipper and burning with YuBurner

All of these result with my dvd player saying dvd unable to be played

please keep in mind that i am a college student with very little money and would much appreciate a free alternative

Thanks Again

Rip it with handbrake to a High Quality mp4 in handbrake. Stick it in iMovie, put chapters there if you want, than click "Share" "Send to iDVD" and iDVD will open, choose a menu and than but a blank DVD in your computer, and click "burn" :) simple

You can make a simple duplicate copy using Disk Utility. Instructions are in the DU help file, but basically you just make a disk image from the original & then burn the image to a blank. No third party software or ripping necessary.
