I'm new to Macs in this respect.

I wanna burn video to be played in my DVD player. My understanding is that you just can't burn it to a DVD, you need special software. Any freeware that can do this? Most of my videos are in mp4 format.

Is your DVD player capable of reading .mp4 files?

If not you have to convert them to a readable format or make a video DVD from the .mp4s.

I don't know of any free programme that does that, but Toast gives you the option to create a video DVD by selecting some files, drop them in the Toast window, and the software will do the rest.

Look on MacUpdate or Google for software that converts to .vob files and creates a Video_TS structure on the DVD.
