Hi,
New to Mac. My PC had 321Studios DVDX Copy Platinum Plus. Does anyone know of something similar for MAC?
I know MacTheRipper is a ripping program but then you have to put it into a burner program.
Does Mac have something like 321 Studios that will let me copy EVERYTHING!
Thanks,
Scott

MacTheRipper justs copies the Video_TS folder to your hard drive and rips off the copy protection in the process. You can use Roxio Toast to burn it to a DVD or MediaFork to compress it into an quicktime file.

I use both of them to make 1 GB files of all my movies on my computers harddrive and they both work great. MTR takes ~20 minutes per DVD and MediaFork takes ~hour to compress it. I usually use the queue function in MediaFork and do a bunch overnight.

You can find these apps on versiontracker.com

I haven't found a single silver-bullet app that does this, so I use a combination of MacTheRipper + DVD2OneX + Disco (rip, shrink, and burn, respectively).

Works great for me, but I don't really copy that many DVDs.

epochblue has the right idea. You can also use Disk Utility (which comes with all Macs for free) or DVD2oneX can also compress and burn (as long as you have version 2).
