DVD creation software similar to Nero?

I want something like Nero or ConvertXtoDVD can you guys recommend anything? I want to make a playable DVD out of Avi and mpg files.

Roxio Toast will do what Nero does and more. Simple to use as well. No big learning curve.

The problem with Toast is that it's fully compatible with 10.6.8 only. They say it works with 10.7, but without audio capture. There's no mention of compatibility with 10.8. It's an almost two year old product, released before Lion. Roxio's Windows products are up to date with Win 8 compatibility, so they're lagging with their Mac product updates.

Yeah looks like it, it doesnt accept Avi files right?
