I've read that all DVDs and CDs and written from my MacBook are automatically stamped with the (hidden code) Serial Number for the Drive plus Date & Time. Anyone know if this is correct?

I would say that this is true. Scratch that, it is true. I watched a show on TV, not sure what channel, but I think it was CNN. Anyway, the show was about technology. And yes, they showed this company tech showing how Digital Camera's, DVD Burners, Printers, ect.. and other devices left imprints on all types of media. It was quite interesting.
