So I popped in Dream Theater's "Score: 20th Anniversary..." DVD a few minutes ago and it plays... But the shadows, or the background behind the musicians is screwed up. It's a bunch of specks of colors that change and huge patches of that around the screen. I tried taking screenshots but they didn't come out. Any ideas what's wrong???

- I tried 3 movies, same result.

Nah, this kind of music typically causes cultured and intellectual computers to feel uneasy and thus not operate optimally.

But seriously, sounds like some sort of corruption. Try to watch a DVD in the guest account.

Worked perfectly in the guest account...

Now what? xD

Slow down there, Sensible Sam.

Log back into your account.

First, quit DVD Player. Then you will want to go to your Home folder.

From there, go to Library, Preferences, and delete com.apple.DVDPlayer.plist.

Let us know how that works.

How can I do this and have my new account be the admin still?
Put the files onto an external drive, then make a new account, then delete the old one? Can you transfer admin?

That didn't work, still the same..

Well hell, I'm all out of ideas.

Throw it away and buy another? Or you can follow Dudly's guide up there right thür.

Eh, I don't watch movies, I just rip them with Handbrake, and when I do that it comes out just fine. When I watch movies I'll just use the guest account I guess unless this is a sign of a bigger problem? Well, if not, thanks for the help guys :D
